Mr. Borchardt serves as Vice President Controller for Modern Constructors, responsible for the oversight of accounting, financial reporting, draw submittal and compliance and general internal control requirements of the company.
Since joining Hines in 2007, Borchardt has been in leadership roles in both audit and accounting related functions. After serving as Audit Manager responsible for the domestic audit practice covering the firm’s property management and regional operations, Borchardt moved over to operations in 2011 and helped startup the firms affiliated multifamily contracting entities and served as the Fund Controller for the Hines Multifamily Investment Partners Fund responsible for the consolidations and financial reporting of multifamily assets.
Borchardt graduated with honors from Southwest Texas State University where he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor.
